Kimberly Nicole Sanders, OD attended the California Polytechnic University in Pomona for her undergraduate degree, and received her doctorate of optometry at Western University of Health Sciences Pomona. Upon graduating, Dr. Sanders pursued advanced clinical training by completing residency in ocular disease and ocular/refractive surgery at Triad Eye Institute in Tulsa, OK.
After residency, Dr. Sanders joined the United States Air Force, where she spent three years as an active duty officer. When her active duty service commitment was complete, she transitioned to the Oklahoma Air National Guard, where she currently serves as a Major with the 137th Special Operations Wing.
Dr. Sanders currently practices medical and comprehensive primary care optometry at Tuscaloosa Ophthalmology. She specializes in diagnosis and treatment of acute eye conditions, pre and post cataract surgery care, and routine eye exams.
Outside of work, Dr. Sanders enjoys dance, pageantry, watching true crime documentaries, and spending time with her husband and dogs Gus and Puggie.
