A. George Kudirka, M.D. received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in 1974 and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1980. Since completing an ophthalmology residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine - Chattanooga in 1984, Dr. Kudirka has been involved in private practice in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
In 1992, he established Tuscaloosa Ophthalmology in Tuscaloosa, Ala., along with E. Van Johnson, M.D.
Dr. Kudirka was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1987 and is licensed to practice medicine in both Alabama and Tennessee.
His knowledge of the field is well proven by the many seminars he has directed and lectured. Dr. Kudirka is active in many professional societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association and The Tuscaloosa County Medical Society (Past President).
Dr. Kudirka is also a respected Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of Surgery at the College of Community Health Sciences, University of Alabama School of Medicine. In this position, he participates in training medical students and family practice residents.
